Auto Start/Stop - Grrrr
I really don’t like the auto engine start/stop feature, I tried to remember with little success to shut off the “A” OFF feature each time I started the engine.
I would remember to shut it off when I’d feel the engine stop & restart while I was stopped at a traffic signal or was stuck in traffic.
A few weeks ago I attached a small black plastic piece with double-sided tape to the center of the Start Stop switch,
I used that double-sided tape just in case I wanted to remove it.
That plastic button has work out great for me, I rarely forget to shut off the “A” OFF feature now.

The 5 stages of auto stop start grief, Its sounds like you are between 3 and 4
I reached stage 5 after about a year of ownership.
1) Denial: It's great! I love using it.
2) Anger: Its wrecked my battery, adds wear to components, works when I don't want it to, and doesn't work and I do
3) Bargaining: Maybe I'll just push the off button everytime, yea, that'll be fine
4) Depression: It sucks having to remember to turn it off all the time, what a pain
5) Acceptance: I've installed an automatic off module for the AS/S, life is wonderful.
