Seat Memory Buttons no beep or response
Anyone run into this issue? Saved seat memory still works for each driver but the buttons on the door seem dead. Will bring it in to the dealer soon, but wondering if I'm missing something obvious.
As glennhl already mentioned, those memory buttons to not work while you are driving. So start your car and then press the buttons to recall their saved seat position, and see it they work. If they do not, then you have a problem.
This sounds crazy but it works. If you need to reset your seats slide your seat all the way forward then all the way back then tilt the back of your seat all the way towards the steering wheel as far as it will go then go on and set your seat exactly how you want it and set your buttons and that resets it and it should work.
Your seat may need to be retaught. I believe you just stand outside the car and with it in ready mode, push adjustment buttons on the seat to go all the way back and then all the way forward, and then tilt seatback all the way back then all the way forward. This should reteach the computer to know what position the seat is in.
You can save your seat position while driving, push the buttons on door to 'save' then push the number you want to save position too, so say 1. It will BEEP indicating it's been saved. You can do the same thing while the car is in ready mode and in park to save your setting.
Now let's say you were driving along and you adjusted your seat position. With the keyfob that's in the car at the time you did this, the newly adjusted position will now be associated with a PROFILE that is for that keyfob. You stop car shut off and get out. Later on you get in with same fob, the seat will return to your last setting you made, but this is not a saved setting associated with the door buttons it is though associated with the profile for that key fob. If you wish, you can save this new setting by starting at the top again, push set then the # you wish to save it under.
Now this is all relevant to the specific key fob you have with you in the car as it's associated with a profile you should have setup when you first bought the car. You should also have a second key fob you were given at purchase. This second fob is going to provide you with a totally different unique profile when it's in the car. So this could be for your spouse if they drive the car too and want to have their own profile.
A profile will also save all the radio station presets too (and I believe map search history possibly), previous hvac settings set when that key fob was last in car, in fact just about everything you can alter in the centre screen, safety suite settings, steering wheel tilt and retract upon exit, your preference for sounds and beeps ...on and on. This is all stored to a specific profile, so if you have a second driver that's 'picky' they can use the other fob and setup their own profile and keep just about everything they can adjust to their liking.
This is the one cool feature that most luxury cars have that I would say are the least used!
Here's a great video to reference at anytime on how to setup the app and driver's profiles for your NX.

I can both recall a position, and remember a new position, while driving.
Well it's time to take it to a dealer then and get them to hook up their computer and find out what's going on. It should be covered by warranty if repair required as long as you haven't run out of warranty period.
