I wish Lexus didn't do this cost-cutting in the NX, but I had to choose the RX because of these aspects as well, aside from lower cabin noise due to better sound-proofing.

(The above are from 2024 model-year, I'm assuming they are still the same)
You can shutoff the eye tracking in the menu. First thing I did, it was super annoying.

2026 NX will get the eye detection camera. Another Cost Cutting Measure on the NX is lack of Passenger Side View Mirror Auto Dimming and Slower Defrost Passenger Side View Mirror compared to the Driver Side View Mirror. With that being said, I really do not notice glare from the Passenger Side View Mirror even then it lacks the dimming feature that the Driver Side has.

The RX passenger side mirror doesn't auto dim either, at least in Canada. "Electrochromic Side View Mirror (driver side only)"

But I will agree that there is plenty of additional features and design differences to justify the price difference with RX over NX. The suspension on RX is magnificently smooth, it's quieter too.

The weight similarities between NX450h+ and RX350h are primarily attributed to the much larger and heavier traction battery used in NX450h+. Taking that into consideration, in Canada anyways, where we can do a simple selection of and Executive Model - which is an all options model selection, I'm seeing 4420 pounds for RX350h and only 3968 for NX350h, that's 452 pounds more. I would guess the RX has some additional body stiffening (more steel gussets and strengthening of chassis to make it stiffer and ride smoother) plus the size is wider and longer and there's some more bells and whistles too.
