· - Press and hold the two outer Homelink buttons (usually on the rearview mirror).
· - Hold for 10–20 seconds until the light blinks rapidly, then release.
· 📱 Remove Vehicle from Lexus Enform (if used):
· - Visit https://www.lexus.com/owners and log into your account.
· - Remove the vehicle under 'My Garage'.
· - Or call Lexus Customer Care at 1-800-255-3987 to disconnect services.
· ✅ Final Confirmation:
· - Ensure all user profiles are gone.
· - Confirm radio presets and navigation history are cleared.
· - Test Homelink (should no longer activate any garage door).
Thanks!!

Side note: Just out of curiosity, what made you come to the decision to part ways with it?
Back in early 2022, we decided to get my wife an NX. If you remember car shopping during that time, you know inventory was terrible. If you were lucky, a dealer had something close to what you wanted on allocation—and then you waited.
We were only able to test drive a 2021 NX, which we really liked. So, we got in line for a Redline/Palomino NX 350, and finally picked it up in May 2022.
We knew the 2022 was a redesign, but unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the new Lexus Interface—the touchscreen-centric layout just wasn’t for us.
After about 18–24 months, we decided we’d had enough and started hunting for a 2021 NX 300 with our preferred specs and mileage. Nothing really made it worth trading, though… so we gave up. But—we never deleted the Autotrader saved search.
Fast forward to Wednesday (4/30/25): we got a hit. We’d seen alerts before and weren’t expecting much—until we checked the listing.
It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. And it only had 7,643 miles!
We called the dealer, got it held, and today we drove 3.5 hours (one way) to check it out. It was perfect. We bought it on the spot.
What we love:
- No touchscreen-based interface
- No multi-profile hassle
- No piano black trim
- Quieter engine
- Much smoother, more refined ride

I will say that I am somewhat surprised. I've read many people upgrading to the 2nd gen NX's and not the other way around lol. My NX is my first Lexus so seeing the cartridge style oil filer caught me by surprise, as I am used to the traditional spin-in oil filters. Turns out the 2nd gen NX's switched to the traditional spin-in filters.

Interesting list, my thoughts
- No touchscreen-based interface ----Agree
- No multi-profile hassle ---I am only one that has a profile so not an issue for me; but I others have significant issues
- No piano black trim ---Not a big fan of piano black , but minor
- Quieter engine ---Okay maybe, but less horsepower and less mpg - big improvement in gen2 except maybe engine noise
- Much smoother, more refined ride If you say so okay
I Hate touchscreen interface also . Also don't like not having a home screen with multiple functions displayed. Too many steps for simple things on gen2 NX and most current vintage cars. Technology solving non-existent problems by adding extra steps.
=========================================
Okay getting back to original question: before turning car in
remove any toll pass devices (ezpass, pikepass, etc.) on the windshield
depending on your state ( in Texas you own the license plates) - remove license plates
Enjoy your 2021 NX
YMMV,

Thanks for your help and no more responses are needed because A) it's a done deal and B) I'll no longer be reading this forum.
Thanks again!!

You don’t have to completely leave the 2nd Gen NX forum as your ownership knowledge could be useful for other 2G NX owners.
Also, I always click on “New Posts” at the top to see what’s going on in other forums and if I can give any useful / helpful advice to any other model forums as there’s a lot of common issues between models, and if I think my limited knowledge can be helpful, I chime in.
Congrats on the NX — I see it all worked out and hopefully they gave you what y’all wanted for your trade-in
