Default Have you removed this "patch" in the cargo compartment ment ?

Lexus NX350h HYBRID Does anyone know what is behind these areas ?
Can this "patch" be removed and replaced without permanently removing it/them ?
I am considering mounting a 10lb powered shallow depth subwoofer speaker to the wall and want a solid support rather than to just loosely connect it to this surface (see pix)

This weekend we went on a small trip and with the cargo area loaded up, the OEM sub mounted in the back of the hybrid was contributing little to the music in the vehicle....
So,I am "considering" a self contained 8" powered sub..... which would be standing on edge in the passender side wall area.
I am quite pleased with the "Subwoofer" project adding an amp to the OEM sub, but as mentioned, with a loaded up cargo area.....it seems to stifle the lower frequency part of music.......

That's how you access the emergency gas cover opening cable.

And I figure the purpose for the lonely $0.25 screwdriver in the "tool kit" area (LOL). Pops that cover right off like it was a $40 screwdriver.

Well since you haven't specified what particular model you have, that may be same on passenger side to access charge port components as they are found on right side I believe.

I would be extremely careful as there's plenty 'going on' back there in and around the rear storage area. 350H and 450+ have 12 volt battery in back under covered floor panel. There may be cabling dealing with propulsion battery too. 350H it sits under rear seat but cabling may travel rearwards towards motor generator that powers rear axle too.

Maybe try to get body schematics for the area you're considering.

As for the silly flat screw driver supplied by our beloved Luxury Car Manufacturer (that then chose not to include a tow hook, a jack, a fix a flat kit,... see empty spots with nothing there) I think it's to pop off the little square painted cover plate on bumper to reveal your tow hook mounting point. Where upon you will look at the tow truck driver and say 'don't look at me I don't know where that thing is that's needed to tow my car up onto the flat deck. I guess Lexus figures all guys have one of your own that will fit'.

Thanks CDN, its a NX350h ....hybrid.
Essentially, I am trying to see if there is anything solid along that wall to help secure a sitting 8" sub that will keep the sub from bouncing around along that wall.....
