Default Rear-View Mirror ?

Sometimes at night the vehicles behind me seem to have extra bright lights.
I can't be sure that the "auto-dim" function is "on" when I'm using the optical mirror. (I only use the optical mirror)
My wife's & my previous suv's have/had a on/off switch to turn on the auto-dim function.
I found 9 pages of info about the "Digital Rear-View" mirror in my NX owners manual but I didn't see anything about an on/off switch for the "optical" auto-dim function.

While I am not sure if there is a setting to turn this on or off, it should be on and also should be very obvious if the auto-dim is active because your mirror will be darker except for a ~1cm ring around the entire outside that does not dim.

Below for an example - look at the perimeter where the shade of grey changes. When you are driving at night that perimeter will remain bright, while the majority of the center darkens.

Thanks, I'll check that the perimeter stays bright tonight, I'm starting to think the dimming is automatic.

I saw that symbol menu, like you included, in my manual but thought it refered to the digital view.
Then I noticed on your highlighted symbol menu the (*1), on mine its (*2) but either way it refers to the page bottom stating:
that function (enable/disable) is for the optical mirror mode & also for the digital mirror mode.
I think my optical view is dimming alright, its just that once in awhile the vehicle lights behind me are wicked bright.
Thanks, and I'll check it out again tonight.

You should have a star in the upper corner to show that you have anti glare enabled.

Well apparently mine is different and the icon I was referring is the star that you might not have at all
