Nitrogen - Tires
I would seriously doubt it. The use of Nitrogen in automobile tires really has little, if any benefit. Supposedly, the molecules of Nitrogen being larger, will take longer to escape and it is therefore better. Air is comprised of just under 80% Nitrogen anyway so, it seems a bit ridiculous that 20% more will have any real effect.
Mine did, but only because it was one of those mandatory dealer fees at the time when the car shortage was near its peak (it also came with a non-run flat tire repair warranty for my run flats, LOL). Nitrogen is better at reducing pressure loss so therefore its going to make your tires last a billion years because it'll always be at the perfect pressure. In reality I think the actual difference has been measured to be a difference of 1 to 2 psi over a year duration which is really nothing at all. I just top up with normal air regularly to keep them proper. Yes, I've allowed oxygen to come into contact with my tires, I'm doomed...
Yes but only about 78% which is normal air. Pure 100% Nitrogen was a fad 10 or so years ago that supposedly help keep air pressure constant longer because supposedly Nitrogen didn't seep out as much as normal air. For the most part the Nitrogen fad has disappeared.

What boggles my mind is the dealers that sell nitrogen upgrade on tires. Are they going to suck the regular air that is in Tires (78% nitrogen) and then fill them with a different cylinder filled with 100% nitrogen?
Or do they just slap a set off $0.05 off shore green caps on the tires and collect few hundred dollars?

Thanks all for the clarifying answers.
I asked you here on ClubLexus because I was with a friend yesterday picking up her 2025 NX 350 Lux and the dealer had all ready charged her for the nitrogen tire add.
I didn't feel right about that, but did not know enough to dispute with her Lexus dealer.
Thanks, good to know just regular air goes in the standard NX 350.
I have adjusted the pressure in my tires a couple times with my trusty air compressor and never gave it a thought.

Absolute waste of time and money for a typical car tire. You should already be getting your tire pressure's checked and adjusted every time when your engine oil is changed which typically is at least twice a year - for no charge. Oxidization to your tires is so minuscule from oxygen throughout it's usable lifespan that it's not a significant issue to be concerned for at all, your tire tread will wear out sooner from use than any oxidation issues.

The dealer from whom we bought our NX350h was one that was not big on selling a bunch of extra dealer add-ons so nitrogen wasn't even mentioned. However our friends bought their NX350h from more of a "glitzy" dealer and the dealer package included nitrogen in the tires.
The first time I encountered the nitrogen thing was a number of years ago when I was buying a set of tires for my other vehicle. The tires themselves were expensive and the surcharge for nitrogen was trivial in comparison and included unlimited revisits to the tire shop for refills or topping off so I went for it. I have to say the my experiece was that I was needing to top the tires off much less often than when it was plain air so I became a fan of the nitrogen. Also for several years after that you could easily get nitrogen and any tire shop. But last year when I went to the local shop to check the pressures and top off they said they no longer have nitrogen and that was the case for a bunch of shops I checked. The only place these days to get it is at Costco apparently and that is where I have been going for my other vehicle. I keep hearing that nitrogen was a waste of time but all I know is that the pressure seems to hold better and for longer in the vehicle with nitrogen than when it had regular air.

Actually it may have just been a hopeful self fulfilling prophesy on your part.
