Good article about nitrogen from Tire Rack. They basically say if you can get it free worth it but interesting they also say it drops one pound in PSI for every ten degree drop just like non nitrogen. Dealer installed nitrogen on ours. I have used Costco's free service. It got cold here from recent 70's to low 50's. Checked our tires and all were down 2-3 pounds. Used by bike pump
If I need air and near Costco only during the week not weekend will use their nitrogen and if not and need air will use my pump.
On every service my mechanic always fills my tyres with nitrogen, tops up my blinker fluid and does a special ‘injector flush’ with his proprietary injector flushy stuff.
Has my photo up on his wall.

My certified mechanic told me the importance of changing air at every tire rotation @ 5,000 miles.
. The nitrogen filled tires are better for holding air. The "engineer's" observations were correct, he saw less air loss.

When I read your title I thought my heart was gonna send me to the hospital.
I may keep this post for future reference......
I think most of us here at Clublexus want less drama and more congenial posts.
Thanks for your post
I too see less air loss, but not worth any extra money for it. I prefer Helium for it makes the car much lighter, hence better gas mileage. Don't over-fill or it will be more like UP or the Macy's parade.
