Default In arbitration with Lexus over vibration issue.

I've had a vibration issue in my 2024 NX 350h since new. It occurs around 38-48 mph but mostly around 43 mph. This vibration can be felt in the steering wheel and floorboard and sometimes is so bad that it feels like the vehicle has a flat tire. Absolutely unacceptable for a $52k vehicle.

A Lexus FST was able to reproduce this vibration but (after he drove another 350h) insists it's innate to all NX 350h's! I absolutely do not agree with this assessment. Also, there are supposedly no TSBs regarding this issue.

I've posted here a few times in the last several months about this issue. Is anyone else experiencing this issue with their NX 350h?

I used the search tool and found no posts related to ANY NX vibration issues. There are some related to road noise, and rattles, but nothing the OP is experiencing.

That doesn't help @RX350ok except to show the vibration shouldn't be there.

I really appreciate OP’s ongoing efforts to find answers about this issue, especially since he mentioned it in couple of other posts as well. It seems like the NXers who haven't experienced any vibrations suggest that this might be quite a rare occurrence. Let’s see if any 2025 NX owners have encountered this issue or have any insights!

A google search turns up quite a few complaints over the whole model range.

Default Arbitration?

What exactly do you mean by Arbitration. Have you gone to a lemon law attorney?

Lexus denied my buy-back or replacement request. I'm giving arbitration a shot. If it doesn't go my way, I'm getting a lawyer.

I have read your previous thread on this issue and it sounds like the dealer did several things that did not rectify the issue. If I understand correctly, the issue is hard to reproduce, perhaps only occurs after cold start for a few minutes than goes away or does it in fact happen all the time when driving regardless if engine is warmed up?

In preparation for next steps, I would download one of the many vibration analysis apps for your smart phone and find a place in your car (perhaps the dash or behind steering wheel in front of instrument cluster)) where you can lay it down to read vibration levels. Hopefully it will record when the issue is occurring. Having another dash cam or similar in the vehicle recording the vehicles speed and the vibration readout at the same time would be ideal. Then compare with another NX. I think you are going to need data/evidence or it will be difficult for anyone to rule in your favor if the issue cannot be reproduced consistently.

You make an excellent point here about gathering data. What is completely and absolutely frustrating in these scenarios is the fact that the ONLY thing a dealer tech or even the travelling tech that does a further investigation into these types of things, is a simple drive in the car and listens and feels for anything unusual. This is absurd! Vibration and sound measuring tools for machinery have been around for decades and now even your phone can do some data collection. It's been used for years to predict bearing failures etc in complex machinery. I don't understand why these tools aren't utilized and techs trained to use these things to analyze noises and vibrations in cars. you can fasten or locate the 'pickup' to the transmission or the drive shaft bearing hub etc. and figure out where the vibration is coming from.

My Arbitration case failed. I would have been more shocked if the Arbitrator would have ruled in my favor.
$52k for a car that drives like a square-wheeled wagon and Lexus gives me the cold shoulder saying "they all behave that way."
I'm absolutely astounded.

LOL. A quick search of the link you provided shows it was the same OP in both threads. This is obviously not a widespread problem but, a vehicle specific problem.

A good place to check for the unknown is https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2024/L...Communications

What is causing the vibration? The cvt transmission?
