Default New NX350h

New to the forum and just yesterday took delivery of my new 2025 NX350h Luxury in Pearl White/Palomino leather. I was a Cadillac guy for many years and am coming out of a 2020 Platinum XT5 which I gifted to my girlfriend and downsized a little into my first Lexus. All ok so far and I will likely have many questions as we go along. I was apprehensive about the runflats but I had it out yesterday for a while and at highway speeds last night and they didn't appear to be an issue. They are the 18" version. Two things that I observed with the Lexus navigation and haven't found an answer yet - a) when a route is entered and active is there the ability to have the nav voice repeat an instruction? My XT5 had that function which I found useful, and b) I like the 3D view on the maps but it won't hold that setting. It constantly defaults back to the overhead view even if I just switch from the nav screen to radio and then back to nav. Can something be done about that? Also - I am likely going to get either the Carista module of the Creader Elite OBD unit to modify things myself rather than have the dealer do the one or two complimentary ones. Thoughts on which unit is better for that task? Thanks and looking forward to being a member of the forum.

Do not think there is a voice repeat, and I have not used the native navigation either haha I have been using WAZE for many many years and I am sticking with it! I have not used Carista, but just from looking at it at a glance I am not impressed, and I am not sure how capable it is, also it has a yearly subscription I do however have the Creader Elite, and it is AWESOME with lifetime updates and pretty much dealership capability and it is bi-directional, can't get any better than that. They have a regular version and they just released slightly bigger and improved V2.0 if you want to check them out.

Thank you for your input. Is there any additional software needed to accomplish the feature changes in the car or is everything done right through the Creader Elite? Right now the V2.0 is cheaper than the regular on Amazon.

You, sir, have very good taste (I too am awaiting delivery of a 350h in eminent pearl white/Palomino ). Can't help you with your questions yet - but I do appreciate your observations about the runflats. My 350h has the 20" rims and I do worry about the efficacy of the Bridgestone Alenzas in rain and snow but I'll give them a shot. Welcome to the forum.

When you plug in your tool first time it would want to update everything to the latest and greatest, then you can do almost whatever you wish for, but only for Toyota/Lexus, if you want other vehicles then you would have to buy those additional options for subscription fee. If you only care about Toyota/Lexus vehicles the Creader Elite has everything loaded. You just got to scroll through menus' to find what you are looking for

Congrats on your new vehicle.

Pictures?

Some aftermarket let's you modify things around but you have to shell out $$$ for the software. Features on the tool varies. I tried veepeak obdcheck ble+ before on 2 other vehicles but not on the NX. I haven't used the Carista module.

Just got around to posting some quick pics of the new ride. I had also considered the macadamia but thought that was too white. The Palomino offers a nice contrast to the black.

I notice the extra side sensors right at the wheels. Is that for the remote park option?

This one has the Advanced Park but not the Remote Park.

Exact color combo of my wife's 23 RX 350h
Now get a good sealant on it. I use Adam's graphene ceramic spray. An application cost about $5 and takes hour and a half to do. You can go on YouTube and look at reviews it has the highest gloss depth and they say last two years. I will do mine every year just because it's so easy to do. The beading and shine are .incredible. I have a friend that just bought a white Siena brand new. She was complaining about the dirt. We just had Helene come through North Carolina. Both cars were sitting by side by side. I told her with this coating nothing sticks to it. Her car looked dirty My wife's look like it had just been washed.
