Nav touchscreen stopped working!
So, as the title states, the touchscreen on my IS350's navigation system stopped working! I can still use voice commands to zoom in and out, show/hide icons, etc. But direct touch input on the screen gets no response, the buttons along each side of the screen work also to change from Nav to Radio etc.
I took my car out on Sunday morning to buy some breakfast, and I even used the Nav to input the address (Using touchscreen, of course). About half way to my destination (15 minute drive) I tried to zoom the view in a little using the touchscreen and realized that no matter what I hit on the screen, nothing would respond!
Anybody have any advice on what I should do? I'm a little leary of taking it to the dealership right away as I'm fearing a $2,000 repair bill

This happened to another member recently. I have heard that resetting the battery can fix it. If not, then the dealership may be the way to go. I know your pain man. Mine is not under warranty and if it ever went out, I would cry as well.
Hope this helps.

How many adapter kits are required to switch the OEM unit out for a Pioneer, Kenwood or similiar stand alone NAV/DVD? That might be a cheaper way to go? Good luck dude

Mine just stopped working yesterday. Same issue as OP. Except that I can't even hit the agree button so the screen shows the disclaimer all the time. The buttons on the side of the navi still work, just can't display the map.
Did you find out what the problem is?

mine just happen right now... the weird thing is that the only button that will work on the screen is the "language". took it to the dealer and they said they need to replace the screen.... 2000 to 2100 hundred not include installation. I will try to unplug the battery and hopefully it'll do something.....

is it just the screen? This still can't explain why I was able to press the "language" button if the screen is out. Mine is always park in garage whether i'm at home or at work so heat shouldn't be my main caused.
I re-set the battery suggested by above.... but no luck as of now.

All i can say is for 850 you can buy a nice lcd tv, for 2000 you can buy a nice led tv. I guess 850 is not bad copare to 2000 +.
Birk1 - do you have the same problem and did you fix it by just replace the screen?

have not done the work yet...but will be later this week as I really need to adjust my AC etc... dont give a crap about the nav function. I wish I could go back to a non nav head unit to avoid this problem / flaw.
well, i'm still pissed about it now but i do use a lot of navi here in CA, but never expect a touch screen issue. At least my car is still running strong **knock knock** and this is the end of it.
