Default How is it holding up?

Hi Folks,

It's been three years since the second-generation Lexus NX was officially launched, and I'm curious to see how the vehicle has held up over time, especially in terms of long-term durability. I'd love to know: what's the highest mileage any of our forum members have reached so far with their NX? What kind of issues or challenges, if any, have you encountered as your mileage increased? I'm interested in hearing about how the vehicle performs over the long haul—especially any major maintenance or repairs. Would you say the NX continues to meet your expectations as it ages?

Personally, I’ve had a fantastic experience with my Lexus NX, and I can't praise it enough for its exceptional comfort and impressive fuel efficiency. It’s been a worry-free and smooth ride so far with little annoyances from the run-flats noise & CarPlay bugs whatnot, and I’m confident that there are plenty more years of enjoyable driving ahead. How has your experience been in terms of comfort and fuel economy? Any tips for keeping the ride smooth as the miles stack up?

PS: Apart from replacing the run-flats with conventional tires.

I kept my 2022 350h NX, but replaced ( it is at my Lake House in storage mostly with a trickle charger) it basically with another car that is much more fun and gets much better mileage. I only have a little over 13,000 miles and when the time comes I will replace the RTFs with non-RTFs. I call the NX my Luxury Cruiser and like it for long trips.

YMMV,

@am123 What is your Mileage and what model do you have?

I have a 350h Takumi and have just reached 30k miles in 32 months.

I regularly travel 460 miles over 2 days and find I am fresh after each 230m stretch. I have just put 4 replacement Run Flats on and am pleased with the reduction of noise that the 8mm tread gives over the 3-4mm that was left on the originals. Here in the UK we have a terrible pot-hole problem and I like to think that the RFT gives better protection against them.

I have also just replaced the 12v battery (and kept the old one) because after 2 battery failures about 18 months ago Lexus said on both occasions that the battery was fine despite low voltage readings across the terminals. With winter coming and the battery being 3 years old I figured better safe than sorry so bought my own replacement.

many recalls which have beeen a real pain but at least they fixed the iphone charging problem - presumably with a software update at some point ver the 3 years.

Planning on keeping mine for a good few years yet.,

I have 2024 350h and currently at 12000 miles in one year. Zero problems. Love the car. Would hope for minimum 10years with the car but you never know if the mind wants a better one.

I have a 2024 NX350h and currently has over 7300 miles. I had an alignment issue which pulled the vehicle to the left before which I noticed around 2K but other than that no mechanical issues after dealer fix it. I did get 1 flat with the RFT tires and had that patched. Hope this vehicle will last 10 years also with little repairs.

I'm only getting around 36 MPG with mostly highway driving with lots of up the mountain and down the mountain trips and A/C ON 98% of the time.

7000 miles. 2024 350h. No problems. Really wonderful vehicle. I enjoy hopping behind the wheel every time.

I’ve heard of some alignment issues—do you know if the dealer mentioned whether it’s a common problem or if it was a manufacturing defect?

Probably neither ...simple misalignment ( not really a manufacturing defect ..maybe assembly glitch } Manufacturing ..somewhat harder to fix.

YMMV,
