I've only had my NX350h for less than 2 weeks. When I take it to the park where I go walking I want to use the Remote Start to have the car start the AC a few minutes before I arrive back at my car, at about 150 yds away. I have the Siri shortcut setup so I use my phone and say Hey Siri Start Cloudy (Cloudy is the nickname that I've created in the App configured in the app), and that command works about half the time. The other half I get an ios mesage (think thats the origin is iOS) that 'something has gone wrong...". If that happens I find I can manually open the Lexus app and long press the Start button, which then usually works. Regardless of how I remote start the car, when I get inside I see this message on my screen: "Connection Interrupted. Wi-Fi Connection with device interrupted. Manage Connection in Device Settings. Cancel or Retry. If I touch Rety nothing happens. I haven't started the Wifi free trial. Also the dash always tell me that I still need to put my foot on the break and press start. I thought I didn't have to do that in the newer NX's.
Any idea what I should do about that Wifi message? Or how to make my remote start a more elegant experience?

And isn't there a method of pressing the lock button on the fob 3 times (holding the 3rd time) to start the car, too? That doesn't work for me either.

is the message on the infotainment screen? If so I bet it is your Apple car play. I have my work phone setup for wireless CarPlay and when I leave it at home but start the car in the garage I get a similar message. Essentially it can’t complete the CarPlay WiFi connection as the phone is to far away but close enough that the Bluetooth knows it is nearby.

I think you press it once, wait a second and press it twice and keep holding the button. It seems confusing and doesn't always work.Originally Posted by New2025NX

Yes it is on that screen, and your answer makes perfect sense, Thank you! The last line of the message, "Manage Connection in Device Settings" led me to believe there was a setting I could adjust to prevent the message. But it doesn't sound like there's anything I could tweek if I want CarPlay to connect automatically. It also explains why when I remote start that sometimes CarPlay doesn't connect, and I have to push and hold the volume button to reboot things.Originally Posted by azieba
