86790F6040 is just for the camera itself. You would also need to get the connector cable, housing, and the screws.

 

Even with all the parts it is less than the part on eBay

 

Make sure to get 2x of 90167-A0021 and 1x of 90167-A0020

 

Yep, another $3; if I knew it would work, I would jump on it immediately.
Since I don't have the Lexus 360 system, not sure If it will work or do we need additional modules or software change

 

My gut feeling is that plug and play will work.

 

Someone needs to take the dive and install the system and let the rest know :-)

 

With the current 17.76% parts sale in effect, I went ahead and ordered the front camera. I probably won't get a chance to install it until next month or so, but I will report back with results. I expect it will do nothing but there's only one way to find out.

 

Any update on this yet? Really curious to know if it works! The 360 cam and ML audio were the only features I really wish I could have in my 24 NX 350 Premium.

 

I got all the parts the other day but it will be a while till I can try.

 

You don't need to 'install' all the parts to determine if it works.

Just plug it in and see if you get any video.

If its really 'plug and play' your will see video, if not, well......

 

I speak on behalf of everyone, that we ALL waiting on your word if it works, and if yes, I believe we'll have a wave of ransacking these parts from every dealership around us

 

Try plugging it in without doing the actual mounting, etc. - should be a quick and easy test

 

Tested it today. Unfortunately it does not work. I crept up to the car in front, and the parking sensors activated but no camera view showed up next to it. An expected outcome but still disappointing.

 

Damn. Thanks for testing. I wonder what’s still missing? Maybe the side mirror cameras? Maybe there’s an extra processing module somewhere?

 

I assume it would require some kind of software/firmware update for the system to even look for the camera feed. AKA nothing that we can really do to trigger it without the 360 system already in place.
