Default While in adaptive cruise how do you reset

When you are accelerating past the limit you have it set for and the screen says to change to the new higher speed hit the cruise control button and there is a + there also but that turns it off and then I have to hit it again to turn it back on and I’m assuming I’m doing it wrong.

important to note I have the heads up display

I hit the cruise button (the little car icon and gauge icon all on the same button) and it sets the current speed as the cruise speed.

Thanks for answering, if I’m already in adaptive cruise and I hit that button once it turns adaptive cruise off.

If you are saying all you do is hit that button that’s pictured in the other reply here and nothing else just hitting it once turns cruise off for me.

But now I am realizing that I am not supposed to hit that button on the steering wheel to reset but to hit it on the heads up display.

thanks to both of you I will give it a try.

Correct - hit THE button on the steering wheel that activates that actual function. It looks like that button on the HUD.

Hit that button on the heads up display screen not the physical button on the physical steering wheel is what I assume you mean. To turn it on you hit that button and turn it off but to do what we are talking about you have to do it on the screen, I have never set the adaptive cruise using the heads up display I’ve always used the wheel

You have to hit a physical button on the wheel - that is what controls the HUD. You can’t touch the button on the windshield 😀

Lightbulb Adaptive Cruise Reset

Push the button twice. (1) Turns Off Current (2) Turns On with New Speed

YMMV,

I found the easy way , just take your hands off the steering wheel for about 15 seconds. You will get a warning and then reset .

Wouldn’t midcows way be easier? That’s how I’ve always done it, Works every time.
