I bought a 2nd credit card key to use with the one that was included, we love them, but man the battery in them only seem to last maybe a month and a half or so before needing to be replaced. Has anyone else noticed this?

Almost 6 months in, still have the original battery in both regular and card key. The manual says the normal key battery will last 1 to 2 years, the card key up to a year.

We have had ours since 7 April when we picked out 450H+ up from the dealer. The wife uses the Card Key and is the primary driver. She pretty much drives the car 4-5 days a week and her Card Key is still on original battery. I did just purchase a couple of spares because I discovered they are a rare size that isn't available very many places. So hers is almost 6 months old and still powers up the beast.

Is a second card key programmable without bringing it to the dealer? I’d buy a second if so.

Does anyone experience a significant delay with your car detecting your profile when using the card key?

The only time I have trouble with any key. Is if the battery is low. Or I have my keys put away. Like in a case

Since you’re in the UK, could it be that it wasn’t offered there? If so, definitely talk to your dealer. They don’t just give those out. Standard is key fobs. So it should have been a line item on your sticker. Mine was included in the $450 line item as the picture posted. Only reason I was okay with taking delivery with one fob.

Listed on spec. we ordered and paid deposit upon but then removed when we collected the car.
We are now told that the card key option is the “old” version and US is just using up their current stock.

So it could be that USA card keys are about to go - if the newer security is introduced.
