Hi,
I lost one of my Lexus original keys and I called the dealer and asked me $379.99 for getting an additional key.
I saw a credit card key, which I am interested. I called the dealer if I buy this key from eBay and see if they can program it, but the answer was no.

Has anyone done this? if so, where can I get this done?

 

Yes I have it and it will work, but the dealer won’t do it. If the key is used, you’ll need to send it to someone who can reset / erase the key so it can be reprogrammed. Then you can use tech stream to program it to your car.

 

Don’t give up. I had the dealer program a credit card key for me - over 6 years ago. Maybe try another dealer, and start with the parts department to see if they know.
