You know that this is typical human nature. If you have a problem or hate something you will be willing to do surveys and tell everybody how you hate it. But if things go well and you enjoy it, those reviews are typically lacking. Of course there will be folks who like the system and it's working flawless and there for sure will be folks who are having problems. It's the combination of different phones, different scenarios and different needs. There is a problem with the tech world where we have the 80-20 rule. If it works for 80%, it's good enough. We will never be able to get to 100%. I guess if you really hate the infotainment system, it's time to move on and get another brand with the best infotainment system that works for you. That's the only way you will be happy and the other brand would love to take you as a customer.
As I said before, the Lexus app has a function to allow you to provide feedback and issues. Hope that will give them insights and hopefully be on the list for the bug list.

Here we go again, that's YOUR opinion and where did you come up your "80/20 rule". Modern turbo charged, turbo charged or non turbo charged hybrid/PHEV and EV engines/motors have way more technology than the infotainment system in the NX, would you say if they worked correctly 80% of the time that's "good enough". I have a car, truck, sports car and the NX. The infotainment system and all other Tech work 100% in everything except the NX (13 trips to the dealer in 10 1/2 months, 2,668 total miles) and Lexus doesn't have a clue. Your right about one thing, it's time (past time) to move on and that's what my Attorney is working on.
lsft...just FYI I'm a subscriber to your Youtube channel and have found your youtube items to be extremely valuable and informed. Your patience in walking us through things is noteworthy. In fact--if not for you I'd not known about 'lane change assist' which I'm not sure how vital it is but I used it nonetheless on a recent several day trip. I'm sure you realize these forums include a wide range of personalities. Some are essentially angry people and that's the only way they can communicate. Others have obvious limited vocabularies. Others behave like bullies. And sometimes they're all in one package. Efforts to communicate reasonably and rationally are of little use. And so it goes.

@43sbest THANK YOU. You said what I couldn’t come up with the words to say. I couldn’t have said it any better.

@romer Did you send hugs and kisses with your post too? I would think those types of posts are best suited for a Private Message but it’s you opinion. Thanks for publicly sharing your love affair.
I think everyone has slightly fallen down the rabbit hole here on CR's ranking of the Lexus Infotainment system. Need to remember that this ranking was for the brand overall, and with the touchpad system that is still in the MAJORITY of Lexus vehicles, it's pretty much acknowledged widely that it is one of the WORST. The new infotainment system in the NX is likely not impacting this rating yet, nor does this rating likely apply to it.

Great post and true. Love our 14 inch screen and infotainment system. I have watched probably 20 reviews of the new NX on YouTube and can not recall one that did not like the system. By far most said worlds better than the old one.

The Remote Touch in my RX predated the touchpad and was the bestest of the best and to this day I've never seen a better interface control anywhere in a car. The haptic feedback was so good I could find and select buttons on the screen without even looking at the screen while my arm comfortably rested down with only slight movement of my hand. I'm still sad it wasn't popular enough because people had trouble with coordination. I've used a mouse since the days of Windows 1.0 and when a MAC was the size of a microwave oven so it was super easy for me. And just like a mouse, it had scroll controls too. This whole touching the screen with your fingers thing (on any car), designed by fools for fools.

With being so unhappy with your NX, racking up 13 visits to a dealer over just 10 months, why didn’t you use lemon law?
Just a guess on my part but he said at the end his attorney was working it. Last time I checked the manufacturers will not just jump at the chance to give you everything back due to Lemon Law. They fight tooth and nail to avoid it and drag it out forever. Usually when you get fed up and trade the car with problems. But this is only a guess on my part.
Think infotainment is the number 1 most complained about category in the automotive industry, no matter what make. None of them are perfect and all have their quirks. That being said … knowing the system can be updated over the air I think Lexus rushed this system out and didn’t not fully test the system before release. It’s a totally new system on an operating system cars normally don’t use.

I am not saying that returning your car under lemon law will always go without a hitch and not sure how it works in FL, but in IL, where I am, it all starts with simple contact with Lexus Corp US and visit to a dealer. No need for high-paid lawyer right away.
