Wheel Lock
Purchased a wheel lock option for my 2023 350h. Received the package of 4 lug nuts + head unit and was told to setup a dealer service appt to install. Called my nearby Discount Tires shop (much closer than the dealer, and had good experience with them for years) and the guy told me he will be happy to do it gratis, but inquired why do I want to do it in the first place since, according to him, it does not help with tire security and it is a nuisance since it breaks all the time. I was wondering whether others have about it.
He’s not wrong, but what style lock did you buy? I prefer this one. Either way most wheel locks will only slow down a thief.
Also with the kit you bought there is probably a registration card that you can use to buy a back up.

I have had wheel locks install for my/wifes' cars and never had any issue, except I lost the key once.
It won't stop a thief from stealing your wheels, but it slow them down and hopefully they move on to the next.

The 2022 NX uses lug bolts, not lug nuts. My NX came with these McGard wheel locks which were added at the port. https://mcgard.com/product/black-bol...icle_category=
At the Chevrolet store I used to sell at a guest politely asked me to transfer the wheel locks
from his trade in to the new Camaro he was buying. I happily told him the new car already had
wheel locks... He smiled and showed me the trade wheels that had three (3) different styles of
wheel locks and the key lugs were hidden in three different spots in the car! He was looking forward
to the security of having Four brands so he would never lose his wheels. Wow I said, when did
your wheels get stolen? Well, never but he heard a friend say that his did...
