Yep, I'm old and glad to be so as the alternative is not good. As to the tech of the infotainment system it's a piece of cake-------------------------if it works.
USN retired MCPO (E9) Electronics Technician 24 years Submarine service (1 Diesel electric and 6 Nuclear boats), 4 years at a major engineering University on the governments dime, Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and 21 years as electrical engineer/senior electrical engineer at FPL Nuclear power plant (retired in 2011). I think I'm qualified to operate/figure out something as simple as the infotainment system on the NX --------------------------if it (mine and others) wasn't full of bugs (that Lexus hasn't been able to fix) and tech overkill as stated in a couple of post by SgtLip. It's a car, not a Poseidon Missile Sub (at least as of now I haven't found the "RED' launch button)---------but it might pop up on the display any day!!
Have a wonderful day and I hope you have better luck with your NX than I have had.

Who gives a **** about CR. They’re paid off by companies. As long as YOU enjoy the car that’s what matters

Totally agree about what matters--that being how much you enjoy the NX. But you make an indictment that essentially demolishes CR's credibility. Will you provide immutable evidence that CR is "paid off by companies?"

No evidence, just my personal opinion. But they have published reports in the past ranking Hyundai and Kia much higher than where they should be. Such as ignoring their engine failures. And didn't CR rank a GM brand in the top 5? Now come on, how can you take them serious if a GM brand is ranked that high?

No evidence, just my personal opinion. How do you know CR has ranked Hyundai and Kia much higher than they should be and no CR did not rank a GM brand in the top 5 (Buick #12); your personal opinion? Give me a break. Have you done any research on CR, did you know they have been around since 1936. My "personal opinion" is that your personal opinion and 2 bucks will get you a cup of coffee at McDonalds--------------------maybe.
Have a wonderful day.

Personally I trust CR more than any other review site. They take no money from advertisers no matter what you think. Over the years there will always be anomalies, that’s how statistics work. Look at several years of statistics to form an opinion. I’m more inclined to trust a company who has been reliable for 10+ years than one who JUST made the list for 1-2 years. I’ve seen several car brands that seems to crack the top 4 only to fall mid pack after 2-4 years.

I don’t trust JD power. Their information is bought by the companies they review. Based on observation … what kind of information is most likely to be pruchased? Good or bad?

Great with everything you said up to the J D Power comment. Car manufacturers pay J D Power to get the results of the surveys. They do this to see what they need to work on.
Consumer Reports list combines multiple car ages, while J.D. Power is just looking at three years. The methods the two use are different, with J.D. Power arguably having superior research methods given Consumer Reports’ limitations. Among other things, CR only surveys its own readers, and it asks people to define “serious” problems while JDP looks at all problems. CR’s stats combine reliability, performance, and safety, while JDP looks only at reliability.

Don’t car manufacturers send out their own surveys? I work in engineering, my company gets problem reports from our manufacturing floor, during quality inspections, and from our customers. We don’t rely on an outside company to gather that information. I only see JD power information as an advertising tool for companies.

You seem to get pretty worked up about folks who disagree with CR. I’m just giving you my input. And actually $2 can get me a medium coffee at Tim hortons so you’re not wrong…

Talking "COMPLETELY screwed up"

As a Lexus ES owner for so many years I used to get surveys about future options. I've discovered there is no program for the NX. The Lexus App stinks with the system ONLY giving Remote Start and other info to the Primary and another user (wife) not having access to everything. It's crazy she has to have her own App access but no access to all of the same options the car offers. She has to log off her account and log into mine. Now tell me that makes sense. Then depending on whose key arrives to the car first is the driver regardless of which seat they are sitting in. The Infotainment System as a whole is COMPLETELY screwed up in my opinion. The old Inform System was decent. The only issue I ever had with it was the Track Pad was hard to use if trying to drive. But the system was okay. I'd trade it in a heart beat for this New garbage. But those are my personal opinions. If this is the future of Lexus, I'm driving the last one I'll ever purchase.
It's hilarious you went from acknowledging your previous hyperbole, to making another.
I agree with the other guy , LSFT, who says the infotainment system itself is generally fine. The vehicle's implementation of user profiles, however, leaves much to be desired.

@blueless ???? I said the WORST. So I replied, maybe not the worst but it's garbage. You may feel the Infotainment System is the Radio and Radio alone, thus the "tainment" portion of Infotainment. But it sounds like a lot of folks overlook the "Info" portion of the word. So I'm looking at the Center Screen System which I believe is called the Infotainment System. As a whole with all the PIN password, User Profiles, CarPlay connection, and other problems folks have had issues with, is why I call it an expensive piece of garbage. My OPINION not forced on others. Mike Drop 🎤

Default Infotainment

I've had my new 2024 NX350 Luxury for just a few days and I'm pleased with the Infotainment System so far. I find it way, way simpler and more user friendly than the nightmare system I had on my BMW 840i. I find that keeping it simple works best for me, therefore I stick almost exclusively to Air Play for my entertainment needs.

Agree loves ours. Zero problems and friend that also a 2023 NX350h agrees. Have multiple friends with luxury vehicles one and two year old that even when I show them ours is impressed. Hilarious that the #1 car manufacturer with the best reputation dependability, customer loyalty builds the worst and garbage infotainment system. Sad so many of these post turn into pissing contest. All the member had to say is " Not happy with my infotainment system which it did this or wish I did not have these problems. By stating the WORST or it is GARBAGE shows your lost of credibility and way to emotional.
