I've been thinking about it for a while, and for previous cars, but never did it. I read posts here and YT videos. Thought I was getting closer to gearing up for it, gathering equipment, masking, etc., and went out there with a piece of dental floss to see how easily it would go under the edge. And before I knew it, I had removed the 450h+ and the AWD below it! Three specs of tape remained which came off with fingers. Easiest job I have ever done, and it really seemed like they weren't intended to be permanent. I did like that those were the only identifiers of the model on the whole car - only the word Lexus on the back and emblem on the front now, which I'm fine with. Job done in less than 5 minutes with just a piece of dental floss - no goo gone, no eraser wheels, and NO heat. YMMV, but I was very happy with the ease of it.
There's too much info on most car bodies, I took some off mine too.
Sometimes there will be some ghosting of the letters and numbers in the paint but you have to look pretty hard to see it.

Great to hear! Yeah I never got the whole 'AWD' label anyways too because most NXs are AWD in the US vice maybe the 250.
We live in snow country so having the AWD badge helps us through chain checks.
Well that would be a good reason to keep the badge on! Never thought of that. I prefer to remain anonymous to thieves and others regarding model numbers whenever possible.
A few months ago, our NX started to de-badge itself. When I touch the remaining letters, they feel like they have pretty cheap tape holding them on. I've been hesitant to pull the others off, kind of wanted to show it to the dealer to note the inferrior quality.
(Yes, car was dirty. It was right at the end of winter/salt season)
