Default Runflat replacement?

We got a runflat tire that went flat. The car is at a shop that is far from me so I can't look up tire model. Can matching tire be ordered by VIN?

I had to order one for our 2022 350 last month. Got it from Tirerack.com and it was a 235/60R-18 Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 RFT Run Flat SL

Lexus said there are 3 run flat models for 18in 2022 350h NX. Do I have to match with my manufacturer? Low miles

Sorry - I have no clue. I just looked at the tires that were on it and ordered the same. Common sense says that as long as they're the exact same size, you'd be fine.

It is always "recommended" but not necessarily essential to use the same size AND make/model of tire on front or back, just in case there is any difference in rolling resistance side to side.

different thread patterns have different rolling resistance and different characteristics.

It is alway recommended to have all 4 tires the same pattern and it is highly, highly recommended for at least each axle to have the same tires.

Great advice. Also under extreme conditions like hard breaking if one model grips better than the other the car can pull and be unsafe.

Last year we had a blowout. Went to local tire chain and they said they would have one in 2 weeks and gave us a "loaner" (non-runflat) to use in the meantime. A month of waiting and several phone calls and the tire shop said the Bridgestone runflats woud not be available for at least another 2 months. Checked this site: https://www.lexustirecenter.com and it showed my dealer had them in stock so we just went there. Cost a bit more, but they had a match.
