just imported my 2015 NX300h from S.E. Asia into New Zealand and installed the local map data card, but it says:

'Unable to read the map SD data, check the map SD. if necessary contact your local dealer.'

its definitely not a hardware problem, i can read the card on my laptop. tried transferring the data onto my original SD card, but that didn't work either.

I've contacted Toyota NZ and they're looking into it. in the meantime anyone have any suggestions?

 

I’m guessing region locked. Is it a Lexus card or just some generic card. Did you purchase this map card from the dealer?

 

bought it from toyota new zealand, $174, non returnable

you're probably right. toyota are going to 'get back to me'. presume if i throw enough money at it, the problem will get fixed.
