I did some searches but got no hits, so sorry for missing if this has already been asked and answered.
I drive a 2020 NX300 Sport that I got in February. Linked my Galaxy Note 9 via Bluetooth and no issues whatsoever. However, I just upgraded to a Galaxy Note10+, and while I had no trouble pairing the car and phone, I'm not getting any Bluetooth audio.
I un-paired/re-paired them numerous times, cleared the phone's cache and data, restarted it three times, but no matter what I try, no audio. I am seeing the "Now Playing" info in the on-screen display, which is correct, but the audio is coming out of the phone and not the car's sound system. When I shut off the car, the audio stops, so it's almost like the car is controlling the phone.
There's got to be a parameter I'm missing somewhere, but where that may be I don't know. Has anyone else experienced this?
Interesting, I have a 2015 nx that I can connect my iPhone 10 via Bluetooth with all functions but when I connect it with a usb lightening cable I loose all starring wheel and radio controls (no skipping songs or song info on displays). Any ideas?
my wife’s iPhone 9 works just fine.
please don’t say I need to upgrade my Lexus when I upgrade my phone please.
I think I have the same issue after I upgraded to the Android 10.0 OS. It was working perfect before. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and a 2016 NX Fsport Series3(Canada). There's 1 thing I noticed is if I am using the bluetooth right before I shut down the engine, the next time when I start the car, there is sound via bluetooth, but if I switch in between radio and bluetooth, then I can see the music is playing but no sound.. There's a few times I turn off the sound and turn on again and it works, but most of the time it fell
After multiple pairing attempts and phone restarts, I finally succeeded in getting the audio working properly, but still had no idea what I'd previously been doing wrong. However, the audio volume level was nowhere near as loud as it was with my Note 9, so I have to max out the phone volume and turn the car level up to at least 40 to get a decent listening level.
Now being an ultimate gadget guy, I convinced myself upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra 5G would solve that problem and pre-ordered one. Nice phone, and I had no problem pairing it to the car, but I still had the same volume issue. Plus, as it wasn't dual SIM like my Note 10+, I now had to carry two phones. That got old in a hurry, so it only took a couple of weeks for me to go back to the Note 10+. Restarted the phone just before attempting to pair it with the car and it paired in short order. Still have the same volume issue, though.
I was trying to find a workaround listening to the radio and use google map. I found in developer option you can change Bluetooth audio codec and Bluetooth AVRCP version. Maybe you can compare the Bluetooth Audio setting with your Note 9.
I know that when I have other apps still running in the background, it can interfere with the bluetooth audio, mostly the WYZE cam app and Ring.
I have to exit those 2 otherwise the bluetooth audio sounds muffled.
