Default Another Maintenance Question...

we have 2 Lexus vehicles and each one are different, a 2017 RC200T and a 2019 NX. Our RC requires oil changes every 10K miles while my NX claims every 5K. I am trying to find out how often I should be changing the oil in my NX? I assumed it was 10K like our RC? am I wrong? what oil do I use in the NX?

both vehicles are the 4 cylinder turbo version and F Sports if that matters?

also, is there anyway to turn off the seatbelt chime if not wearing the seatbelt? I know, we should be wearing the seatbelt at all times, but the noise is annoying.

The NX's oil change interval is 10K.

I concur as to the oil change interval but that knowledge is also based on our hybrid engine.

As to the seat belt, that is a dealer-only option. I had the chime disabled on our 2016 so I assume it is an available option throughout the model years. Now with that said, I have heard that some dealers are very reluctant to disable the seatbelt chimes due to potential liability issues in our highly litigious society.

Get a TIS cable off ebay for $30 and you can turn off the chime. The oil interval says 10k on the NX, unless you are driving in the winter or towing or using a roof rack or driving short trips of only a few miles at a time often, in those cases the interval is 5k.

Check out the Carista device on the Clublexus or Amazon site.

I have simple one for you. Like real simple.
CHANGE OIL WHEN MAINTENANCE MINDER COMES UP.
How about that? Simple, aye, mate?
And don't forget your brake fluid is due at 30 or 35K miles, and plugs are due at 40K miles.
