Default daytime running led`s on or off?

i usually have mine switched off. i dont like the headlights coming on/off all the time pulling in and out of the garage. what do you all choose?

Headlights and DRL's are led, can come on and off a million times doesn't affect their lifespan. I always leave them on as a safety, its what they are designed for, the more i can do to be seen the better. Plus, in the nx the drl's look good, unlike my 08 is350.

I agree with gompa, mine are always on, headlights in auto. It doesn’t bother me when they pop on going into the garage, it shows me that they are working.

+4. Mine are always on and I like the look - and I’m not troubled by the headlights coming on in the garage.

Agree. I have wondered about headlight span.

DRL ON is a legal requirement in Canada, as far as I know. Also, I am actually not quite sure if you can turn them off completely driving. Even with switch in Off position. As I still see reflections of lights on a vehicle in front of me in traffic.
I am referring to DRL, not headlights.

There is a complete “off” position on the light stalk. I have to turn off all lights when I approach the security station at our office.

As to the comment about “headlight span,” I presume you mean lifespan of the actual LED elements. It is my understanding that they will normally last the life of the vehicle unless they are defective. I don’t believe you have to worry about them like you did with previous bulbs that have an actual filament in their construction.
