I have the NX200T 2016.

Have 22000 km on it, and until yesterday there were no sounds inside the car. Yesterday I was driving not a not very good road and with a slight shaking, something began to rattle and make an unpleasant sound at the back of the car.

I took everything out of the trunk, even took off the plate, drove again along the road and heard again that there is a sound from behind.

I was at the dealer, they tested the car with me, said that this sound comes from the leather seats and it is normal for them because they are tight.

Although I folded the seats completely and the sound remained.

Who faced this issue before? How to solve it?

 

Hmmm, I would have said the rear seats were the cause in particular the arm rest. If you folded them and are sure the armrest is secure, might not be that then.

Best if you have someone drive the car while you are in the backseat checking/pressing against various trim pieces including on the hatch. With my past RX, the rear hatch/lock rattled on rough roads. Might be that. Good luck.

I need your advice on that.
As I wrote before, I complained several times to the dealer about the rattle sounds in the trunk of my NX. They said they don't hear anything.
Today my wife was driving the car, and I was in the back seat and recorded noises.
Please check the video here. Do you know how to fix it?

 

That's got to be frustrating. I've picked up a rattle with the change in weather. It's an annoying sound near the glovebox heard on less than perfect roads, which are abundant in CA.

 

Can you try turning on the light in the rear upper roof so we can see the video much clearer.

 

Sounds familiar to me: have you checked the deck board and the tray below deck?

 

I suppose you are aware of the compartment below the trunk floor, where the spare tire is kept? Can you open it up to inspect for any loose part, whether the spare tire is properly attached, the car jack etc? And there could be something else in this compartment that may rattle with bumps on the road?

Btw, 2016 nx200t with only 22K km is pretty low mileage, but was it a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) from a Lexus dealer? I suspect with 170+ points inspection, this kind of rattle noise would have been identified IF it was a CPO?

 

Check your spare tire compartment, take out the spare and see if anything dropped in the well. I had my tow hook dropped in the well and made a weird noise I had no idea how it ended up there.
