Default My DIY mood lighting

I love the lighting in the S-Class so I do this thing where I run RGB LED lighting all around my cars.

I haven't got around to doing it on my NX so I did it last week.

Here are some photos of the process.

Here is a 5m role.

I started in the passenger (left) seat.

A plastic tool like this is very useful to open the gaps.

You can remove the plastic trim to access and hide the cables.

You can attach the LEDs to the clips under the glove box.

The hardest part is getting in the central console. Just go slowly.

Here are some finished results. They look really bad in the pictures, but it looks amazing at night.

I did use the entire 5m. I ran out as I got to the drivers side on the right. I am planning to get another 5m to do the back too.

I connected the power under the passenger seat. I added a switch inside the centre console so I can easily turn it on a off.

The LEDs come with a remote so you can pick any colour you want. I prefer purple as it's soothing.

Yep. I have a clear protector on it. I figured it would keep it nice and scratch free for the many years to come.

Any updates to the mood lighting? Has it been running okay without any heating issues or any other issues?

No issues at all like all my other cars. The cigarette plug has a fuse itself so it will trip that before it trips the one in the car.

Awesome! Would you mind posting a DIY? Particularly about the installation and finally connecting power to it.
