Excellent figures, especially in Canada where it was just shy of over 900 units from surpassing the RX. It should be the best selling Lexus in Canada for 2016 thanks to the love for compact vehicles and the significant price jump for the 4RX.

Lexus USA surpassed their sales expectations of 42k units which initially was 30-32K, then bumped to 36K, then to 42K when they saw how well it was selling by Q2 last year.

Interesting that most sales in Canada happened in Sept and Oct where as it's the summer months in the states and December.

Does the sales number reflect deals/promotions?

Wow in the first year of NX and it already sold more than Qx50 from past 5 years. Infiniti should be ashamed.

Lots of factors but for the NX, I suspect there is some correlation of NX sales to the RX's incentives. That is, the last few weeks of 2015 there were strong rebates and low rates (in Canada) for the RX to clear out remaining '15s for the new gen '16 RX to come in. 2016 will bring us an equal playing field so we'll see which one reigns champ. I suspect the NX will take the crown in Canada in 2016 (and onward).

Ditto. Been seeing NXs pop up everywhere, especially in the F-Sport trim. The customer audience seems broad from 20s through to 50s. This is what Lexus buyers have been asking for for years..

I was wondering why there are so many more US sales, until I Googled that the US has 10X the population of Canada!

In North America, is Lexus still one of the better selling luxury brands? Here in Australia, Mercedes, BMW and Audi far outsell Lexus. I'm sure it's the same in Europe.

Yep, checkout the article on the front page of Club Lexus:

You bet.

In that respect, the ratio of NX owners per capita is slightly greater in Canada.

I remember the sales rep told my wife and I that they were sold out of their RX inventory when we were buying the NX because a lot of the RX buyers are more mature/older so they prefer the more rounded styling than the new redesigned RX.

Saw the new RX the other day when I went in for service, that 12 inch screen's ginormous!

Ahh interesting article.

I just looked up the sales figures in Australia:
Audi (up 20%)
Mercedes-Benz (up 14%)
BMW (up (10%)

For ultra-luxury brands:
Porsche (up 45%)
Ferrari (up 47%)

To be quite honest, on a daily bases, I see more Porsches than Lexus.

As for Lexus in Australia, it has grown 29% with 8500 sold in 2015 vs 7000 sold in 2014. Remember these are all Lexus models combined, not just the NX so we actually don't sell that well at all here. The C-Class sells 30,000 here annually, and that's just the C-Class.

My mother just came back in Canada. Seems like Lexus is popular over there like the US too!
