Upgrading or replacing subwoofer in NX
If I decide to put in a 10 or 12 inch powered sub (separate from stock), do you think I will be getting a lot of rattle from the trunk (not plate) if I properly remove plate rattle. Does anyone know if the stock sub in the rear hatch can be replaced and powered by an aftermarket amplifier or recommend any powered sub enclosures. I have been looking at the
1) Alpine PWA-S10V 10" Bassline
2)Rockford Fosgate P300-12 Punch
3)Rockford Fosgate P300-10 Punch
AND
4)Alpine SBR-S8-4 (although I would have to use my own amp)
I always have used diamond audio subs and xtant amps in the past, but just don't want the hassle and cost of taking that route. Want something simple and easy... to add a bit more bass to the 10 speaker system in my NX.
All suggestions and help are greatly appreciated. Thank You

the subwoofer is an IB speaker (infinite baffle),
if you want to replace it , you must build an enclosure like a friend of mine did in his NX , he fitted out the "silly" subwoofer ( i prefer the term of woofer , because it doesnt go to the low end frequency) and build an enclosure with tube pvc with a 8" shallow Pioneer .
The subwoofer is powered by just a PRSD800 Pioneer
After that you can go to a strong and solid subwoofer ,you can build one in the spare tire (if you have one) or fit a powered subwoofer in the trunk all will work all will be better than the stock "sub" woofer
