Do you hold the third push until it starts, or release it after 3 secs and then it starts a few seconds later after you let go?

On the third push you hold it until the hazards flash. The car will also beep.

Yes, if you hold it for 3 seconds is flashes, let go and it starts. I does take a moment to start. Just practice for a while and it gets easier.

Finally got it thanks guys. Have to press, wait for beep, press again, wait for beep, then hold the third press. I was pressing the button too fast before.

It does, using the Lexus Enform app; the first year of this is free with purchase. After that the Enform remote is priced at $220 a year or $345 a year with the Enform apps.

More info about the Enform suite can be found here: http://www.lexus.com/enform

I wonder if any additional news has come out on this new version of the subscription that our fellow poster mentioned a few months back.

I don't need the "On Star" type of services and the cell phone app is nice but does not offer enough value to me to pay over $300 a year for it.

Does anyone know if the key fob remote start process will be disabled if we do not subscribe to Lexus Enform after the 1 year trial period?

I see that Best Buy has the Viper Smart Start that uses the factory keyfob installed for about $300 which would be an option if this requires a subscription. I probably would go to a local place that specializes in remote starts and aftermarket radios but this is a good pricing example.

Viper is behind time keeping up with advancement. You can install iDATAlink or Fortin all in one remote (just one small module all firmware driven) with minimal wiring for less than 300.00. They come with two 2way fob very small and light, will let you start using OEM fob lock button. You can add an alarm system as an option. Those 2 way remote is siad to have good 3000 feet range.

Regardless, forget the factory one. After market one is seriously superior to factory one. I alway install them myself. Getting easier lately. Min is reimal wiring, firmware does
all. Just need to download firmware, flash the brain, and set options you want B4 installing it. Program fob(simple task), all done. I can start the car in the parking lot when
mass is ending for an example. If smartphone start phone starter is required, can install that as an option too.
