Default Sound/Volume

I had an ES 350 and traded it in for the NX. For the most part I am happy with it except for two things. One, even at the highest setting, I feel the steering wheel is not high up enough for me but I know there is nothing I can do about that. Two, I'm really disappointed in the volume when the bluetooth is connected. When I have the radio on, it's full volume and I can get it really loud but when I use the media function to play music off my phone the sound is horrible, it's a bit muffled and even at max volume it's not very loud. Could there be a setting I am overlooking?

What model phone are you using? Also, is the Bluetooth volume at max on your phone?

Bingo.

Usually the Audio volume on your phone (Samsung phones at least) is set at 75% or less, make sure you turn it all the way up (it will reset after you reboot your phone).

I have an iPhone. I can turn the volume on the phone all the way up and see if that makes a difference. I really don't want to keep my phone volume all the way up all the time though. I don't see any separate setting for bluetooth volume.

When you are connected to BT on the iPhone, the volume is set for BT. Once it disconnects from BT, the phone reverts back to whatever volume level you had. My volume is set to 16 on the car while using BT, my iPhone volume is one level from max and it is pretty loud...

If you swipe up to access your control panel, you will see the volume controls for the device. If you choose the Lexus NX, you will see the volume bar. This only controls the Bluetooth volume, not the ring volume. If that is up, you should be good to go. The audio quality should be great with no muddiness or muffled sounds.

Additionally, ensure the car Bluetooth is connected via handsfree as well as car multimedia.

I can't figure this out. I guess next time I'm at the dealer I'll ask. The Bluetooth volume is directly correlated to the phone volume. I can't increase the Bluetooth volume without the overall phone volume also increasing.
