That's the thing. Judging by what has been said in this forum the US won't see any substantial numbers available besides a limited number this fall until sometime in 2015. A year away! Lexus will lose a lot of sales because of it.

Agreed....I'm being patient, but if there is no hope for me to purchase by OCT/NOV, then I'm moving on...will not wait for 2015.

I guess its obviously the 200t since the tailpipes show.

If you REALLY want the NX this Fall, talk to your local Lexus dealer to put a deposit and reserve one. It's the ONLY way to secure one from what we know of at this point. I've done this since my RX lease comes up in November and only a handful will be available from each dealer (in Canada) this year. Inventory will ramp up slowly in Q1 2015 and expect to normal supply in Q2 onward, but I as you, can't wait till next year.

Talked to dealer already...not taking any deposits at this point.
They gave me a small 4 page flyer they just got from Lexus basically giving minimal info announcing coming of NX.

Lexus just doubled their allotment of initial NX units from 20,000 to 40,000, which I reported in the Future of Lexus Thread in Car Chat ealier this week. Furthering the notion that Lexus is again focused on volume. I imagine similar to the 3IS last year some good deals may be had because they won't be constrained and Lexus dealers are undercutting each other for a sale. We'll know soon enough.

That's too bad. I wonder if it's just that dealer or across the US. Did they give you any idea as to when you can put a deposit and how many units will be available in 2014?

That's good news. The allotment number is globally or US, and for when?

Car starts sale late 2014, it is as simple as that... it wont lose any sales, just like any other car wont lose sales if it launches 3 months later than what you personally want.

I wish it was launched in 2012 personally.

Thanks for the slam. Do you have something against me? My Rx lease isn't up for another year so it doesn't matter to me personally!

I just am amazed that a new vehicle can be introduced touted world wide and not be generally available for a year.

You can't tell me that those who like the NX but need a new car sooner than 2Q 2015 are going to wait.

^^^ Marketing's way of building hype and trying to increase sales actually. They did that with the Highlander, unveiling it 1 year prior to availability and it's selling like hotcakes from the prior model that was already a top seller. As a consumer and car enthusiast, I dislike this strategy, but at the same time the marketer's hope is that after you've seen it, you will wait for it knowing you've seen it and like it versus buying from the available competition! They got me.
