Need a NY mechanic to do timing belt service
does any body know of a mechanic / garage in the NYC area that does the 90,000 miles timing belt service at a reasonable price. Im trying not go to the dealer they want too much money
To be honest with you , I would spend the money on getting the Timing Belt replaced .
God forbid you let some mechanic do it and they mess up
The other stuff is bull ...check this check that ...A lot of it you can do yourself or, with the help someone local .
I do A lot of my own work but the Timing Belt i would leave to the professional

Is the motor in the GS300 a non-interferene engine? I know the TT Supra is non-interference; therefore a broken timing belt won't bend valve and such.

I am on Staten Island I have a guy who just did mine on a 01 430 best price trust me and he did my car and is running great so he knows what he is doing. The parts I got myself for a little over 4 and he charges around 4 depending on if you want more done. I had hoses, belt, timing belt, timing belt rollers, pcv, flush engine block of coolant, water pump, rear end flushed. If you want to talk to him let me know.
Guys check this post out https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=178779 . Make sure to ask your tech if he ever work on any VVT-I car. Make sure get plenty of reference. A couple of teeth away and your valves are bend.
