I believe the 30K mile or the 45K mile service, which cost some of around
~$600.00, includes changing the timing belts.

Around $600.00 would of gotten you a lot of service.

that is a good price for a timing belt replacment. I have seen the quotes go as high as $1400.00.

Lexus recommends 90k mile interval for replacement. They can and will go longer but you do not want to chance your motor. I have seen a original belt on a LS400 at 179k miles. Was still running but it was missing about 10 teeth. So close to losing his motor and yet the guy still did not want to change it out. Go figure.

??? only 690 for changing timing belt? you sure that's timing belt?? sounds too cheap from a lexus dealership. and how many miles you have on the car? like lee said, 90k is probably the earliest you change timing belt. you definitely don't need to change the timing belt at 30k and 60k service

I got 90K and but where is the timing belt, is it the one with the grooves and serpentines at the front of the engine, or is it somewhere else. the bill description Belt . Timing Qty 1 $ 81.07
Belt . V-Ribbed REMFG Qty 1 $ 77.77
Labor $ 531.16
_________
Total $ 690.00

ps. is REMFG means remanufactured? for a timing belt? or is just a code?

Have not heard of a reman belt so it must be code for something else.
The timing belt is hidden in the front of the engine so it is not visible.
