Got mine done at Zippos in East Brunswick, NJ for 200. Lifetime warranty is included and I got 35% all around.
No problems yet, but the top part of my rear window with all those dots looks a little werid. I don't know how to explain it, is it called the dot matrix? There's some air up there but it's only noticeable up close.
$200 sounds too much for tint. I did mine here in CT for $160, 35% for 4 windows, and 20% for the rear, lifetime warranty included. The shop did a top-notch job.
I suggest shopping around a couple places, and look for quality and service from each of the shops, not just pricing.
Paid 140 for mine with a lifetime warranty. There is a spot in brooklyn now that actually laser cuts the tint. My cousin had it done on his 745, immaculate job!!
While we're on the subject of tints, does anyone know any ways to get around the tint laws in NJ. I heard that a doctor's note saying that you need the tints is good enough. Can the note be a generic statement or do I have to have a specific condition written down? Will this get me out of a ticket all the time?
When i got pulled over for having front tints, I told the cop that I was getting a doctor's note and the cop let me go without a ticket. He was cool and he let me explain why I had tints; I had cataracts when i was born so after multiple surgeries, I told the cop my eyes are sensitive to light. He told me to make sure I get the note the next time.
You will not find a better shop than "The Art of Tint" located in Manhattan NY.. Its about $450 for a set of huper-optik.. absolutely no bubbles.. not even small ones.. they take extreme care of your car. Very cool place.. i would recommend them to anyone. I'm bery picky about my car and fortunately i had no complaints with this place.
When shopping for tints.. always remember to ask what type of film they use.. then do some research on that company. I haven't found anything better than huper-optik..
