Default Car painting question

So, it looks like I'm back @ it again. Trying to customize my 94 Lexus es300, and I was trying to see how many gallons of super jet black acrylic paint do I need to paint my car? I was thinking 2 should be well more than enough to do the job even with clear coat. My car is already black btw. Any suggestion and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance fam

two gallons seems like it is way to much. it is a car not a family room. contact a local shop or paint supplier

Only took 1 gallon to paint my (former) 92 LS. With all of the additives that you will have to add to "cut" the paint for even spread, 1 will be more than enough along with the clear coating.

You need a gallon together to paint your whole car. It depends on how much hardener your paint needs, but it should all together mixed equal a gallon. A gallon and half if it was a color change just to be sure.

But since your car is already black you should stick with one gallon.

so if someone would tell you to put a carbureted engine in your car to achieve a better fuel economy and performance you would listen to them? please do you research. Acrylic is an old technology paint that was mostly put to rest in the early 90s. Now days its either urethane or waterborne (eco friendly). Paint materials have come a long way since the 80s there is a reason car manufactures do not use Acrylic paints.
