So I'm on my way to work Friday morning I work in Brooklyn live in manhattan and take the brklyn battery tunnel all the time I got pulled over by a highway patrol officer doing the h.o.v lane check point the problem was my tints so long story short I got 3 tickets driver windows 1% passenger window 1% windshield complete 20% 90$ each ( the entire car is double limo except windshield that's 20% the whole window) he said and I quote " they are going to start taking cars away from drivers who choose to tint their windows so dark they will have the option to peel it or have it towed so if u take the tunnel be careful from 6am -11am highway 5 is Right there and those guys are serious $270 for tints lol lesson learner
P.s. I have yellow tint on the headlight fogs and high beams that to is ILLEGAL it's not "dot" approved I'm surprise they didn't mention my stance the car is slammed 3" well good luck and drive safe

 

eh, nothing new in NYC - recently saw 2or3 cars ticketed for tint while legally parked(but owners were in car or exiting out). dt's from 61/62/68 trying to strip us off our tax money!
