MAJOR props/respect for mkorsu!! Thanks!!!
A huge thank you is in store for our CL/NELOC brother mkorsu for doing a fantastic job on my headunit installation in my Maxima.
He's the CL go to guy if you are looking to upgrade your system. My job wasn't a huge job, but you should see his other work!
I made the hour drive to his house (my parents and Mark are practically neighbors. small world!) because Mark does this professionally and well, because he is also my homeboy.
I had the stock craptastic Bose system in my Maxima. The digital display stopped working and buttons were falling off. I purchased a Kenwood DNX6140 with Garmin Navi, Bluetooth, ipod direct connect, DVD and more that would fit perfectly in my Maxima.
Forecast called for rain, so he quickly pulled out the console, we went inside, took out the OEM unit, put in the new one, wired it up (Adapters, Navi antenna, bluetooth/ipod hook ups, spliced a bunch of wires, and a crap load of other stuff) and done within 30 min.
In the same time I was still messing around trying to change 4 tiny blown bulbs while Mark was looking at me like I never used a screwdriver or I just have screws loose in my head.
I honestly couldn't believe how freaking fast he completed it.
Put everything back in the car (10-15 min), modified the opening a little bit and made sure it worked correctly. Finished by painting the dash to clean it up and done.
The finished product.

Besides, I think it was the free burgers and fries that almost put us to sleep before we could even start.

He does some incredible work.. Beautiful!!
Nah. We had to use the factory amp. Used the metra harness adapter and all works great. The HU actually a rather noticable difference is sould quality right out of the box. After some EQ tweaking and crossover adjustments it really sounded MUCH better than stock. Much cleaner and crisper sounding.
