Only person I know that has had their torque converter changed on a GS is KevinGS. Gonna be a little difficult to get hold of him since he doesn't visit as often.

Pulling the trans is typically a PIA, since you will lose plenty of fluid. It's a good idea to replace the trans filter and fluid. Also check your Trans mount, I'm sure it's not going to last long with the new Stalled convertor.

make sure when u put he new torque converter in you fill that up with trans fluid first before putting it in...also make sure when u put the new one in you line up your dowels and it slides in place for you, dont want to leave it hang out some and then have a problem.

The rear main seal comes to mind for maintenance replacement.

While this may be true, I actually have seen him turn a wrench or two since I have known him. Was a time when he was changing his exhaust out, like every other weekend since he could not decide which one he liked better. As I stated, he was the only one that I knew that has had his torque converter changed out. Whether or not he did it himself is another issue.
