I just got a ticket for driving 55mph on the belt parkway... gotta love quota time....

i think it is 50..but depends on where he got pulled over on the belt.

 

I drove by a Highway trooper in the morning doing 60 in a 50 and thought that he would come after me but he didnt. Sorry to hear that you got a ticket.

 

what. thats crazy. i've been doing donuts, burnouts, drifts, etc. all weekend. thank god i haven't gotten a ticket anywhere. i suppose this a calling that i should stay home tonight.

 

lmao... I guess I shouldn't complain considering all of the times I didn't get caught.. The speed limit was 50 though... I'll try much luck in court.. although I know NYC courts aren't as willing to negotiate as Nassau County courts are.

 

That sucks..I go at least 60+ all the time on the Belt, never got pulled over..Some sections on the Belt you could go fast, but others like Erskine #13 and near Verrazano bridge is not ideal to speed..

 

This was right before the nassau county border, eastbound right before the cross island.

 

thats actually on the ticket?, that u can still get a ticket over 5 mph over the limit? damn! definitely try to fight it, just say you just got on the highway or about to swithc lanes or something, good luck man

 

that sucks..I got mine for following closely there last year....belt is interesting because you have to know where you should slow down and where the cops are hidden....some places on belt, you can drive up to 80mph but carefully....I agree with ONE HOT, it's not a good idea near those places....watch out next time

 

i dont think i ever driven slower than 70mph on the belt other than when traffic is congested

 

Well it's worth fighing anyways. Usually they say fine with no points, whic is better for you in teh long run.
