yeah 5.8''.

im still installing it, but from what ive heard the picture should be incredible.

i'm running an older 5242. but i'm thinking of selling it to get a kenwood kvt-911dvd

 

eclipse 7301 picture is top notch. take my word for it. i used to have that unit. IMHO, the eclipse is far better than the alpine. i just wish eclipse made a larger screen...

 

Sorry to say, but the Kenwood 911 is the best dvd player out there!!! Its not just me, but all the car audio magazines even think so. Oh and I also have one and think all the other ones need to stop even trying. Just my thought.

I personally agree with you on a screen by screen basis, but for "total package" systems you have to consider the fact that Kenwood's navigation is not worth a ****. I realize that this is a little off topic, but until Kenwood can make a nav system that is anywhere close to what Alpine offers then their DVD quality will be irrelevant, at least to me.

 

EXACTLY.. go to www.alpine1.com and play with the demo. it is soo much better than the kenwood. thats why i'm gonna get the kenwood 911 with alpine navigation.

i'm a little weary of kenwoods touchscreen though. i don't like dirty fingers. i'm gonna have a pair of latex gloves always in front of my screen. so when ever you want to use it you gotta put on "the glove" before you touch
