Question did my battery die?

i went to ralphs to get some booze with a friend, came out, and my car wouldn't start.
it made this rapid clicking noise from underneath my car when i tried to start it.
my clock reset, but my radio and all the dash lights seemed to be on fine.
the employees told me to not leave my car at the lot because the protesters will slash my tires and spill radiator fluids on my paint.
i left my car at the lot for an hour, and went back to empty it out, but a good samaritan called AAA for me and got my car jump started. the AAA guy said it's not my starter, so i'm thinking it's my battery but i'm not sure.

funny thing is, the guy who helped me out started talking to me about god while we were waiting for the AAA to come. at least he saved me $50 bucks that i would have spent towing my car 2 blocks away.

whoops, i posted in the wrong section

It's your battery. I had the same problem, but luckily I was stranded at home so a friend picked me up to get a new battery.

Ditto,

My battery was never replaced so it couldn't hold the charge as well plus with an amp it doesn't get any better. I thought it was the starter when I heard the noise to. It was more like electrical (charge) clicking, right?

Battery, definitely. Cooler weather probably helped kill it if it had a weak cell. Mine died last week, fortunately in my driveway. I put a trickle charger on it for 8 hrs and it took a full charge. Seems to be working fine now. It should, 'cause it's only a 2 yr old diehard.

It's a supermarket. I think it's a branch of Vons or Albertsons, but they're all markets.

Kind of OT with respect to your post, but it's just wrong to have to worry about protesters doing stuff like that to a patron's car. It's not as if you're a scab worker or something. I mean, the public still needs to feed themselves and their families and have to get their groceries somewhere... (even if beer is the only item on your grocery list).

I believe that Ralph's is owned by Kroeger's (sp?).

only reason why they would mess up my car is because i planned on leaving my car there overnite to get it towed the next day......so the employees were telling me the protesters are gonna think my car is one of the employees'. and the protesters HAVE messed with the manager's car, and the temps. also.
