Hi all, i've been searching these forums for days on end trying to find out what is wrong with my car, but haven't been able to even get anywhere. my check engine light is on and i did the darn paperclip thing(shove one end in TE1 other in E1, whatever it is, to tired now) and got a code 29. i was then able to find a code list somewhere on the forums, but for some reason it goes from 1-28 then 31-35 and then skips some more numbers(can't remember what post i found this on). if anyone could tell me what the heck code 29 is it would be great. i am digging deep into my pockets just for pennies right now so i have no money to spend on a service manual, which i've been trying to save up and buy for a while now. a friend from toyota did a diag and said it was my main o2 sensor, so was able to buy one a couple days ago. put it in today and well, nothings changed(made a mental note to kick his *** for my loss of money), cept for the fact that my next check is going to bills and another main o2 for the other side...
i am on my hands and knees beging for any kind of help, please lend a hand to a kid trying to stay afloat.

I saw your thread, but I have to wait until Monday when I go work and check out the code 29. I think it's probably O2 sensor relate, may be the sub-O2( after the Cat. Converter).
Eight, I've merged the 2 threads into one because it's the same subject.
right on, thank you much VVT-i i cannot thank you enough for your concern and williness to help. i really am gettin despereate and appreciate any and all kinds of help. sorta wish i started going to this automotive(DADC) college earlier instead of graphic design, but o well, i just gotta make sure Trinity can get me there and back through the winter and for a whole lot longer. thanks again, and hope to hear from you soon.
hmmm, now would be a good time to start using my gd skills and make a nice little sig of my car
Yeah, it's the sub-O2 on right side. The connector run under the carpet, just pull the carpet up and follow the wire harness.
The part# 89465-24120 and retails for $142.00+tax.
