Question Automatic Trans Fluid $10.29 per Quart???

I bought 4 quarts of ATF for my 94 LS400 (Type T-IV) at Capitol Toyota in San Jose, each quart cost $10.29. Do you think it's right price???

$4.31/qt at Bill Page Toyota and $3.75/qt at Jack Taylor Toyota. These are retail prices. Wholesale should be 20-25% less. Local Northen VA dealers.

$10.29 per quart, talk about a markup!!! I paid $4.95/quart through irontoad.com.

Thumbs up Thank you Everyone

After your posts, I know the average price. I research for the ATF Type T-IV here is the results below (same town).

At Steven Creek Toyota in San Jose, California $5.64/quart
At Piercey Toyota in San Jose, California $5.75/quart.

I sent an email to Capitol Toyota in San Jose, California (where I bought 4 quart ATF, I check my invoice receipt it's actually $10.70 a quart not $10.29) and told them either they made a mistake or I am not being treated right.

I will let you know the results.

Type IV ATF from Champion Gulf Coast Toyota (formerly Jay Marks Toyota) is $2.88/quart + shipping. On my last order that came to a total of about $3.35/quart.

Now that's CHEAP!!! Do they ship to Hawaii? I gather the shipping will offset any savings. LOL!!

I think they'll ship anywhere. My shipping markup was about 16% ($32 on a $200 order) and most of the weight was ATF (16 qts). That's from Houston to Alexandria, VA UPS ground and it took about a week.

Call them on 800 327-2087 or email to parts@toyotaworld.com

I have no affiliation with these people. They (and Carson Toyota) are great to deal with and deliver the real goods (genuine Toyota/Lexus parts). Just be careful ordering oil filters from Champion. They sent me that light weight Supra one (at $4.06 each) for my SC400.

Why is it all the real discounters are in the west?
