I've read before somewhere that the EGR can be bypassed to give the car more power.
I was also told the same by a tech at a shop this is possible by removing the rubber hose on the EGR and sealing the end of the hose off.
Decreased gas mileage isnt' a concern if I can get some power by bypassing (or whatever) the EGR.
Anyone have any input?
EDIT- OK. So I've been doing my research after I posted about my topic (booo on me.) Seeems there's not too much you can do. I've heard you can get a little extra push out of your car, but blocking the EGR adds the most power on 2jz-gte engines.

Downside: a permanent check engine light, (code 71, egr malfunction).
Easiest thing to do is disconnect the vacuum line going to the egr and see if it makes a difference. When the check engine light comes one, clear it by removing the "engine" fuse.
