Which oil filter, OEM or Mobil 1?
Hey guys, so I bought the 120k service kit for my GS3 replaced the everything plus Valve Cover gaskets. I seafoamed it and its time for an oil change now, I have the OEM oil filter and I just bought Mobil 1 full syn and I got a free Mobil 1 filter. Which one do you guys recommend?

Thanks guys I change my oil twice a year because I only put a couple thousand miles a year on it being its not my DD. I think ill use the OEM one this time around and the M1 the next time.

Either one will work, but for curiosity..i'd consider saving each of them once they are used up and cutting them open for filter media and construction comparison. Then the speculation will end.

I'm not sure I'm aware of what you are talking about and I have definitely used many OEM filters...
Either way, you should always take some clean new oil and run it around the sealing surface, as well as making clean the mating surface on the oil filter housing is clean as well...
