Why? Because the ES does not need the power and IMO is not worth the cost of a Lexus battery. The GS on the other hand IMO DESERVES my paying $96 for the Lexus battery. \

So it depends on which "Toyota" you own.
This has gotten just a lil off topic but I'm gonna bring it back

I simply don't understand the rationale behind this. Actually, the cold cranking amps are low on the OEM stock Toyota batteries, they're not as good as 85% of the aftermarket batteries, even those costing half as much. If you're gonna spend $100, get something good like an Optima battery, not the cheap OEM Toyota battery. Thats just a total waste of money. If it somehow makes you happy to have the battery in there say Toyota, fine, its your money to waste. I'd reccomend you go down to the Toyota dealership and spend $60 for the same battery though, bring your own doughnuts

I'd buy a $40 battery and buy the GS a good hand wash and wax as a gift with the rest.

I may have "just an ES" (actually don't have any Lexus yet) so maybe I just don't understand everyone's desire to let Lexus rape them up the rear end...

Guess I just don't have the class or the taste

Now, c'mon put em up! If Dr. Rick doesn't have the ***** I do

Agreed. Does anyone thing that Toyota makes their own batteries? They probably subcontract it out just like other places.

I reminds me of going to my father in-laws old plant. They package food. I was watching them package hot chocolate packets. There was a 1000 pound sack of the stuff feeding the loader. They put boxes on for company x and ran that for a while. They they boxes on for company Y and ran for a while. And then they put boxes on for company Z and ran that. At no time did they change 1000 pund sack. So the stuff for all the companies is exactly the same. But 2 were store brands and one was a national brand. Some much for the brand mattering.
