Maybe you can get the same refills from a Toyota dealer and not have to pay the Lexus markup?
The OEM are more than likely one of the major manufacturers that have been outsourced by Toyota; not JDM wiper blades

See if you can find a name on the blade, then go to your locaol autoparts store to find the set. Most will even pop them on for you if you are not sure how to install them; it's pretty easy though.

Does anyone know how much they charge for OEM refills at the dealership? Also, does anyone know if you can order OEM wiper blade refills online ?

Oh, they probably will; I was just pokin fun. My point is what I stated earlier; it's best if you just buy them yourself at an autoparts store.

I mean, they're wiper blades; not suspension components.

What is the easy trick to getting the wiper blade insert and metal sleeve out of the wiper assembly? I must be brain dead this morning....! Any help would be appreciated.

Let's see if I can describe it. It was the same way on my Lexus as my Mercedes, which I've done for years.

First, you need to take the wiper arm off of the car. If I recall, there is a spring clip you press and then slide the U-shaped piece off the mate..

There are two metal pieces (the length of the rubber blade, thin, and about 1/16" wide) that you need to pull out from either end of the rubber blade with pliers. When these are out, the rubber blade comes off the arms easily.

To put the new blade in, you first put the new rubber blade on the arms and then slide the two metal pieces in from one end or the other.

I hope that helps enough.

This applies to the RX300, but your blades should be the same..
http://rx300how2.home.comcast.net/wiper_blades.htm
According to Lexus Technical Service Information BO95-004 - Wiper Insert Replacement Method
"The Metal Backing plates are slightly curved. Check and install the backing plates into the wiper inserts with the curve tips upwards on the drivers side and curve tips down on the passenger side.
Then install the wiper inserts into the blade arms. "
Of course, it assumes your using Lexus replacement inserts.

I picked up a set last week over at Sewell Lexus when I went ot pick up my TTE Lip
They were like $6.00 each and if you just look at your wiper blades, you will be able to figure out how to replace the. Just release the rubber insert from one end, it will be obvious, then pull it out from the other end. There will be 2 thin metal pieces that slip into each side of the blade. You will not be able to get the metal pieces to stay in the rubber blade while pushing the blade back in. Just get the metal pieces started and feed it through. Takes like 2 minutes per blade. No need to remove the blade arms.
