Default (RX300) VSC Problem

I have a 2003 RX300 and I recently changed the air/fuel sensors, the CEL turned off, but the VSC and Trac Off light remains on. They remain off when I start my truck but when I put it in drive they come back on. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this issuse or what the problem might be?

Thanks

the VSC and Trac lights generally have nothing to do with the O2 sensor / AFR sensors, though they can come on because the check engine light is on...

so, if the check engine light is cleared and the VSC/Trac lights are still on, then you may have another problem, if all 3 remain on, you might still have the same issue...

There is also a possibility that you are suffering from the same issue many Highlander and other VSC enabled Toyotas suffer from, essentially requiring a calibration of the VSC computer and nothing more... here's a link, I recommend reading through it carefully, then downloading the PDF with the procedure... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=49724

Thanks again! The horse drank the water... I found the link and fixed the problem in under 10mins. You saved me alot of money by just using a paper clip.

I need to do zero point but cannot locate the correct terminals on the obd connector. There appears to only be 3 or 4 terminals and they do not match any of the pics ive seen on the net or here. I know this is old thread but this vsc light is driving me bonkers.car is a 98 gs300.

Well after scouring the internet and this forum I think I may have a solution. Found this thread and going to check some things this weekend. I bought this car used and it appears to have the original alternator on it. 200,000+ miles. Last night I had run down to the corner store and my batt light illuminated at idle. A little throttle and it went away. I also hear a whining noise in the rear speakers. Im thinking the alternator is bad.

13.2v at idle with nothing on. 9.8v idle with AC/WIPERS/STEREO/HEADLAMPS on, rev motor a little bit and I get maybe 10.5v.........yeah, alternator is on its last leg...
